SEARCH TIPS

To begin a search, place your cursor in the appropriate search box and type in a word or phrase. You may also click the "Browse" button to view the list of entries (not all search boxes have Browse buttons). Terms appearing in the list can be pasted into a search box by clicking the "Paste" button. You can select as many terms as you wish.

Words entered together are searched as an exact phrase.
You can also connect multiple search terms using
"&" for "AND",  "/" for "OR",   "!" for "NOT"

Examples:
landlord / tenant  finds records in which either or both terms exist
     landlord & tenant
finds records in which both terms exist together
landlord ! tenant  finds records in which "landlord" appears, but not "tenant"

Use an asterisk (*) to search partial words, e.g., lease* will find lease, leases, leasing, etc.

Use the w# operator to do a proximity search, where # is a digit representing the maximum number of words that separate the search terms. For example, public w5 access instructs the system to find only those records in which the words "public" and "access" appear within 5 words of each other.

When you have finished constructing your search, click the "Search" button to see results. Each page will display 20 records at a time. Click the "Next 20 Records" button to see more results. Click the 'View Full Record" link to see a more complete record. You will find hyperlinks to PDF versions of the articles and conference papers in both the brief and full record formats.

The "New Search" button will return you to the search screen.
